It’s me! Hello hi!

I’m a retired visual artist, dog lady, workaholic with dirtbag tendencies… and I’m crazy about cake. I started baking in 2015 when I was living abroad in Krakow. I found working with cake gave me all of the satisfaction of being an artist, without the pretension and bullshit: creativity, hands-on work, and a final result I want to share with all of you! By 2018, I got into cake decorating, running weekly specials, and slanging babka at the occasional pop-up. I quit my day job in late 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, and have been hustling ever since to make Awkward Pastry a thriving small business.
